I agree with Bette on just about all of this. Our British actors helped propped up Hollywood and Claude Raines was wonderful as the other gentlemen she mentioned. Janis Joplin was my first meaningful "crush" when I was probably 8 or 9 years old and discovering the Woodstock & Monterey Pop films respectively. Man, It's just so surreal to think she was only 3 months away from passing here. She looks so full of life and I just wish she could have seen the impact Pearl would go onto make, at the very least. Her story may have been part of the reason I eventually got addicted to heroin myself on a romanticist level - rockstar curiosity crap - Still It's fucking surreal to think I kicked the shit and she didn't even if I am only 28. Doesn't feel right to say i'm actually older than everyone in that 27 club...
